I created an Influencer Marketing Campaign for Holofans!

First things first, what the heck is “Holofans”? Well simply put, the coolest thing ever. Holofans are basically the first form of holograms we have. It uses a spinning fan to create the 3D effect. Because you can see through a fan when fans spin, it looks like the image is just there floating. Here’s a pic:

Holofans is already solidifying itself as one of the best holographic fans out there, in quality and the fact you can upload your own images onto the fan. Their brand credibility is high, and their sales are rising, but there is something they could do to boost credibility and gain even more sales, Influencer Marketing.


I created a sample influencer marketing campaign for Holofan, along with an organizational method to keep track of the influencer analytics. Attached as well is an SOP and video demonstrating how to use the organizational method.

Why Create an Influencer Marketing Campaign?

Holofans is blowing up on TikTok, as they have a current following of 121.6K and with each video at least getting 20 thousand views and more than one amassing over one million views. Their quick little videos showing off their product seem to do well! But it’s one thing seeing a product show up randomly on your FYP and another thing to see one of your favorite influencers talking highly of a cool product. When influencers are used to push a product, it instantly for their followers boosts your product's credibility. The loyal followers of the influencers now see a cool product being used by an influencer they enjoy, which means your product is “cool” in their eyes. This in turn will also boost your sales!


Who to Choose as Influencers?

The videos that have blown up the most for Holofan are videos showing Anime and videogame characters. The product absolutely is attractive to people in other categories, like businessmen to create ads or dog lovers to create images of their dog, but choosing something that is already working is a great kickoff for influencer marketing. The influencers I targeted were in the anime/video game influencer category. The influencers I chose were:

  • Muffin Top (Alisa) - $150 for TikTok video

    • 270.3K Followers

    • cosplay, gaming, and content about Japan and Japanese culture (including anime).

  • Prince Trunkz - $100 for 60 second TikTok

    • 905.6K Followers

    • Comedy Content Creator that mainly makes content around Anime, Comic, Cartoon, ect, Geek stuff in general!

  • Morallygreyismyfavcolor - $250 for TikTok video

    • 1.2M Followers

    • anime that’s funny or comedy scenarios!


All of these influencers are US based with a US based following as the shipping for the product being bought within the US is free priority shipping for USPS and will arrive within 3 days. The total for these three TikToks is $450, and one Holofan will be shipped to each influencer to show the product which is an additional $599.85 ($199.95 per holofan) for a grand total of $1,049.85. The combined amount of followers these influencers have is 2,375,900, and with the Holofans price at $199.95, you would need only 6 sales to be profitable. 6 out of 2,375,900 potential follower views, or a .0006% conversion rate. One person out of every 395,983 views.


Along with this, each influencer will be given their own affiliate link. When a purchase is made through this affiliate link, Holofan will receive an email notifying that this influencer generated a sale.


Managing Influencers and Analytics

As time goes on, and Holofan has success with influencers, Holofan will hire more influencers to promote their product. Managing and keeping track of these influencers and seeing how they are doing for you can be hard! So I made an airtable to make keeping track of these analytics a breeze.


It’s important that the entire team accessing this airtable follows the same steps and the same rules so no one gets confused and things do not get screwed up. I created a Standard Operating Procedure so all employees accessing the airtable can follow the same process. View the SOP here!

Overall

Creating this project I learned that not only can using influencers result in more sales for your company, but it also significantly boosts the credibility and loyalty of your customers because the followers of the influencers you are paying are loyal to the influencers, thus loyal to the products their influencer likes. I also learned some great techniques within Airtable, and learned that Airtable can be a great tool for many situations. A greater tool than I first thought!


For Holofan, using the Influencer Marketing Campaign will result in more sales, more followers on their account, and more credibility and loyalty. Their product is amazing, so when people see their influencer with this super cool product they will go running to the website!
